Cough* Cough* i'm sorry to my dear readers if i have any, for my heavily webbed and dusty blog.
I have been pretty busy lately with many presentations to do but Alhamdulillah, the difficult part is now done.
The cultural night/evening had just ended last thurs(group 3C)/ fri(group 3D).
As for my group, we had chosen to do about malay circumcision. No doubt, it was difficult.
We were all girls and we're presenting about MALE circumcision. We knew nothing about it. Plus, there is another all boys group presenting the same thing the day before.
Expectations were high. We were being compared to. They've set a pretty high standard for us.They were excellent of course. They went through it. We girls had ours done while we're still a baby,so what DO we know.
Nevertheless, the boys were really helpful and generous to share with us their information. We've learnt a lot from them and after some alterations, we've managed to pull it off! We made ours in the form of a story inspired by the upin n ipin story. I've never watched it but some of my group mates were their biggest fans.
Not by choice, i was given the role as the one getting circumcised but it was worth it after thickening my face to 2 inches thick to play it. I got some positive comments from the panel judges:) eh eh..perasan pulak aku ni..
judge 3:what's your name?(pointing to my direction with a serious face on)
Me: Ali sir (oh crap, oh crap, where did i mess up..)
judge 3: u did and excellent job! u made the story lively!
My expression changed from a frown to a smile of relive..Alhamdulillah.
but then...
judge 4: u, Ali,! masa your abah cakap nak kena sunat, u patut berhenti la makan ayam goreng tu.. ni tak, u boleh sambung acting makan tu.. saya nampak tau...
hehe terkantoi..dah la aku tak makan lunch, plus we're the last to present pulak tu..kalau la ayam tu ayam betul..tak ingat script la aku..
Overall, i think the comments we got was okay..except for the slight lack of content. But tak pe la, we've given our best shot:)
So yea, it was fun to dress up as a boy in the baju melayu..its so comfy..i wonder if one day it will be a trend for the girls to wear it. i think we would look pretty cool:)
I got the chance to experience the best of both worlds for a moment.
Which reminds me, i want to watch Hannah Montana the movie!!
Ali, out!
